Why did you become an attorney?

Vicki comes from a family that experienced substantial reliance on law and government policies and felt in a very personal way both the strength and weight of the law in all aspects of their lives. She experienced both deep regard for the legal system yet frustration with rules and regulations that at times appeared counterproductive. The result was a profound desire to both understand law and to use it for positive and productive purposes.

What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?

A mark of personal pride is having had continuous employment since age 10. That reflects a focus, commitment and drive that impacts every client served, every legal issue faced and every case resolved. Hard work, a commitment to the client and personal resolve are at the foundation of this legal practice.

What made you choose your primary specialty focus of law?

These practice areas promote individual advocacy. Vicki represents individuals who themselves express focus, commitment and drive in their personal or professional lives yet have been wronged. The harm may be in the form of interference with their employment, defamation or other wrongful termination; or the wrong may be to their investment portfolio or retirement income through inappropriate investment advice; or the wrong may be to brokers or other investment professionals in their employment relationships. In these practice areas Vicki is an advocate for you.

What makes your law firm unique?

This is a boutique law firm that practices in a select legal area – professional employment and individual securities claims - and limits the clients it will represent. The focus is on you and your individual case. Thirty years of broad and successful jury trial experiences adds a substance that produces results, whether through personal consultation, early negotiation and case mediation or the actual trial experience. In Vicki, you have an attorney with a reputation for both tenacity and professionalism.

Describe your ideal client.

Our ideal client has an inner personal strength, does not make excuses for themselves, but recognizes when a wrong has occurred or the need for legal assistance. Our clients take an active role in the conduct of their case, work cooperatively with this office but respect our direction, the legal process and the professional services provided.

Describe your personal interest and hobbies.

Personal time includes enjoying the various forms of entertainment available within the Pittsburgh area and surrounding communities, biking, hiking, skiing, cooking and travel.

Describe your charitable activities.

Over most of the past 30 years, Vicki has provided pro-bono legal services through the PFA program offered through Neighborhood Legal Services. Vicki has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Alle-Kiski Area HOPE Center ( past Board President) and is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.
