Why did you become an attorney?

I became an attorney to help others.  I wanted to make a difference in this world, one person at a time.  I enjoy working with people, one on one, and helping them through challenging times to make things better.  I have a competetive spirit, striving to win for others.

What experiences (work and personal) help you to be a better attorney?

I worked at Western Psychiatric Institute as a Research Assistant, observing  Mental Health commitment hearings.  I also worked with a neuropsychologist, conducting neuropsychological testing on  individuals with cognitive problems, including Alzheimer's and HIV Aids patients. This experience help me recognize mental health and cognitive issues with people I deal with in my practice and the hardships they face.  I have a greater understanding of these issues and am better able to help my clients.

What made you choose your primary specialty focus of law?

I have an inquisitive mind and interest in medicine.  Personal injury and disability law is unique to the facts of each case.  I am able to merge my investigative nature and interest in medicine in this practice, while helping others in need.
